The Economist: Bridging the digital divide to engage students in higher education
While video-conferencing apps and other social platforms have thrown various higher education institutions a lifeline in the wake of covid-19, research shows that many faculty professors are struggling to maintain the same depth of engagement with students they used to have in a physical classroom setting. Ensuring remote and hybrid learning experiences are just as effective and valuable is critical to the immediate and longer-term future of higher education.
