In recent years, a spate of new so-called hybrid colleges have emerged across the country that are low-cost and combine online competency-based learning with a no-excuses, in-person model and mindset. The early results from these programs have been promising. John Gabrieli has researched the outcomes of one of these programs, Duet, and is now looking to scale the impact.
