Diane and I sat down with Scott Barry Kaufman, a cognitive scientist and author to discuss some of his favorite research topics: human potential, self-actualization, and intelligence. We address the importance of placing all students—not just those who are in gifted or special education programs—at the center of their learning, consider the effects of making intelligence taboo, and highlight the importance of seeing the middle way and other sides of issues.
